Kim Pouland
Project Architect
22+ years of experience
Kim’s journey to architecture started at a young age with a keen awareness of space and how individuals interact with their surroundings.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Environmental Design from North Carolina State University, she made her way west to Arizona and Hawaii where she specialized in high-end custom residential, working her way up to Design Partner at a national award-winning firm.
Now back in her home state, she brings a diversity of knowledge and design expertise to Nicole Perri Architecture.
In her free time Kim enjoys traveling the world, hiking with her fiancé and dog Shadow, and laughing on the beach with life-long friends.
Jo Hamizadeh
Architectural Associate
Jo’s path to architecture grew from a lifelong blend of influences—an engineer father who valued logic and problem-solving, and an artist mother who fostered creativity and expression. This balance sparked her early interest in art, design, homes, and math, and shaped her passion for figuring out how things come together, from big ideas down to the smallest details.
She earned her 4-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 2023, close to where she grew up, and swiftly moved to Charlotte to complete her 2-year Master of Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2025.
Since 2021, Jo has worked across multiple architectural disciplines in Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina, gaining a broad range of experience and perspective. While pursuing her architectural license through NCARB, she joined the Nicole Perri Architecture team, where she was guided back to her passion for custom residential design rooted in both creativity and practicality.
Beyond the studio, Jo enjoys being outdoors, spending time on Lake Norman, playing sports with friends, and spending time with her nieces and nephews when she’s back home.
